Guilty Pleasures: Sade

The other day I was going through some of my vinyl reminiscing about the days gone by. As a side note for you snotty nosed kids who have no clue, vinyl, or records at they were commonly known, were played on record players. They came before the CD and after Reel-to-Reel (don’t get me started on that shit). Regardless, I was chillin. Listening to some classic tunes and out popped a Sade LP (that stands for Long Play Jr., bare with me). Man oh man; Sade hasn’t made a song since 2003. That is a long time for an artist of her caliber and her talent to remain secluded from the world of music. I think that automobile accident may have a little something to do with that though. Oh yeah and the bench warrants and shit might have something to do with it too.
But side notes aside, and past being left where it should be. Music is music. One thing about good music is, when you hear it, it takes you back to a place where you feel comfort. I could imagine what “Fuck the Police” by N.W.A. take you back to, but these songs are bangin classics and should be a part of everyone’s personal collection.
To keep from farting out song from the MANY albums (that’s another forgotten term) that she had, the best place to get all of the good stuff is here Best of Sade CD. With hits like Your Love is King, Love is Stronger than Pride, Smooth Operator, The Sweetest Taboo, Never as Good as the First Time, and the absolute masterpiece No Ordinary Love, This CD is banging. You can get it for the low at Amazon for almost $5.00. If you cop yourself one, make sure you burn a copy to your hard drive because I guarantee, the next time you have some type of social gathering, this CD will come up missing.
I give it an A++.
Did I also mention that she is
F I N E !
