The soul feel of “Don’t’ Bother Me” will grab fans of Black Eyed Peas, as well as soulsters like Adele and Cee Lo Green.
Brooklyn-based band, Wachichoo, releases its debut single “Don’t Bother Me”. The single breaks down an age – old catch 22 of relationships in modern times.
Chris Strange, a band member shared: “You want someone, but they don’t want you. Someone sweats you, but you’re just not interested. And around it goes. Sometimes it takes opening your eyes to what’s in front of you. Sometimes it takes a hell of a weekend in a mad city to get it out of you.”
The music video was directed by Joseph Covino of East Village Studios. It reflects the push and pull dynamic of two people who are attempting to make a connection in the wilds of New York City. The video takes the viewer on a journey exploring hip NYC locations, including Williamsburg, Soho, The East Village, and Times Square; as seen through the eyes of the two main characters, played by Ill-On C, the lead singer of Wachichoo, and stunning actress Kaitlin Pannone. They chase each other throughout the city, unsuccessfully attempting to connect as they explore the urban landscape and its colorful characters; including band members Java (bassist), Dominic Rubano (drums), and Chris Strange (keyboards).
