Known to his family as Sid Richardson, Richie’s loving mother wanted a better life for him so she made the decision to move to the states when he was only 9 years old. Although he was able to leave Haiti, Polk County, FL would also serve as a test of him and his family’s resilience. Not knowing the language and not knowing where his next meal was coming from, a young Sid made up this mind that if he wanted to make it, then he would have to become a man at an early age. Dealing with the frustrations of transitioning to a new country, Richie would find solace in music. In high school, he began to play the drums and his passion for the art grew exponentially from that point on.
While honing is skills as drummer he developed an undying passion for hip-hop music. It was then and only then when a young Sid Richardson found his purpose and himself in the alias Richie Rich.

It is through his confidence, his resilience, his story, his message, and most importantly his music that the world will realize there is a new storm brewing out of Haiti and he goes by the name of Richie Rich.
