This four man rap group from Youngstown, Ohio is on the cutting edge of the hip-hop genre. With a stage show that is energetic and full of non-stop entertainment. With the laidback demeanor of some of rap’s greatest emcees, S.K.U.L.L.Y. most decidedly will leave you feeling them and well-entertained.
Individually they are: Wil’I (nee William Jackson), a 19 year old lanky, creative wunderkind from Youngstown, Ohio. He says he is shy, but on stage he comes alive with the support of group members. Da Kid Loyal (nee Cameron Lewis), also 19 years of age, unlike the other fellas he was born in Memphis, TN, but moved to Youngstown by the time he was a fourth grader. As a little boy he would always enter talent shows knowing that his goal in life was to be an entertainer. IBDrumm Tha Great (nee Brandon Drummer) is also a 20 year old native son of Youngstown. He knew entertaining was his calling at the age of 10. He entered the rap world seriously about a year ago with his comrades Wil’I and Da Kid. The latest addition to the quartet is Fasa (nee Glen Gunther). He too is originally from Youngstown and is 20 years old. He prides himself on being the athletic one in the group as he used play basketball in high school. With that hobby on hold, he prefers to show his prowess on the mic as he spits his rhymes.
S.K.U.L.L.Y. is an acronym and it stands for: silly, kool, unique, loud, lyrical, youngins. Once you’ve experienced them, you will know that to be true.
Check out their first-ever single called “DJ Play My Sh*t” (also known as “DJ Play My Hit”). They expect to have a full length album in late spring 2012.
