This Paterson, New Jersey native and daughter of a Jamaican born U.S Navy Sailor has lived in Virginia and Hawaii before landing in Douglasville, Georgia.
It was in Norfolk Virginia that joined her first singing group. After moving to the beautiful island of Oahu, Hawaii, Jasmine, sixteen at the time, joined another group. After numerous trips to group rehearsals and listening to the group, Jasmine’s father saw the potential Jasmine had as a solo artist.
At age fifteen she starred in a Broadway play created by, Kristian Lei, who’s mostly known for her role in the Broadway musical, Miss Saigon, titled “Honolulu Broadway Babies.” Jasmine sang in the chorus, which was a wonderful experience for her. After the musical, Jasmine placed the music on hold to focus on getting into college.
Subsequent to the first semester at Norfolk State University, Jasmine felt compelled to go back to her music.
In 2005 Jasmine became the first artist on her dad’s independent label, Ve3 Inc. Devoted to her music, she set out to study songs, stage performing, and the best of the best in the musical world. Jasmine continued to perfect her craft by going to music festivals, taking vocal lessons, singing in a church choir, writing songs, etc.
On January 1, 2011 Jasmine and her dad jetted on an airplane to Kingston, Jamaica to share her talent with the rest of the world. Her debut single “Tell Me” arose from that Island trip. It’s great Joy to see this young, ambitious, awesome, versatile and powerful singer/songwriter putting it all together on her Debut Single…..
